Default P1166 and P1167 diagnostic code help

My 1998 Honda Accord has these two codes the replacement sensor is $191.00 at the Honda dealership. They are calling it an O2 sensor located under the hood in the exhaust manifold. I took it out yesterday cleaned it up and made sure the electrical connection was clean and tight. Cleared the codes and they came back on within a couple of seconds. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

PS The engine is the F23A4 and Series is EX-ULEV

Thanks Jon

Just a small wire brush (brass) and electric clean on the wire connection. Where is the fuse located for this sensor?

There isn't a fuse. Welcome to owning a Honda, sensors are EXPENSIVE and most often Honda specific.

You can track you wires back to the ecm if one is cut or unconnected you are lucky. More than likely you need a new senser. Try a junkyard if the price is high.

Good, electrical cleaner is better than carb or brake cleaners. I have had no luck with cleaning them.
