Default friend is having problems with his 99' accord.. help?

the 99 Honda Accord has been having staring problems in the hottest days of the summer. The engine refuses to idle and the car will stall out. He has to leave it for 30 minutes (too cool down) before trying to start the car again. Two different repair places have no clue what it is. The only hint he has gotten was someone blaming the main relay. If you have any info for him, this would help out a lot .. thanks guys

If it was the main relay the car would die. Do you have a CEL? How hot are we talking? Maybe fuel vapor problem. Is it a V6?
