I don't post much, but I read the forums often. I also search athe forums for info and resolution. I searched but haven't found an answer for this. My brake light (the light that comes on for the emergency brake) occasionally stays on. I have spilled coffee down below the where the brake handle sticks out of. I ripped up the console and wiped down the contacts for the e-brake. The light will sometimes still stay on and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what it might be . Responses appreciated.

 

Replace the cap/float/screen in the master cylinder. Either the float is bad, or the screen doesn't allow for flow. I have seen this before. There is in fact a bulletin on the isuue.
