I'm having real hard time of removing old air filter from the engine compartment. Can someone help me? What is the best way to remove the filter? The user manual doesn't have the direction. Thanks for any assistance. My car is 2004 Honda Accord LX with 4-cylinders.

 

For some strange reason the lid of the airfilter housing is tucked about a couple mm underneath the flange of the fender, so it's a bit of a wrestling match to get that lid out.

I find it easier if I first loosen the rubber intake duct at the throttle body, also remove a couple small lines to that duct. That gives me more room to move the airfilter lid around.
