Do the H22A4 and the F23A1 have any interchangeable parts?
I've been debating for sometime whether or not I should jump onto the bandwagon and swap an H22A into my 1999 Accord. My only dilema is the car is so young, the engine only has 28,000 miles on it. It doesn't seem worth getting a donor with 40,000 miles.
My question is if any of the parts between the two engines are interchangeable. I know it may be a far stretch, given they have two different engine codes (F and H), but since they have similar displacement, use the same engine mounts and wiring, I was hoping there might be a chance.
Could there be anything beneficial towards horsepower that I could swap? Even something mundane like connecting rods would be good.
Thanks for any help.

None of the H22 internals with work with the F series engines. I am in the same boat so I have looked into it. Intakes will be different, header is different too. Pullis might be the same - I dunno. You might want to get a nice 2.5" catback and work on the suspension until you make up your mind. That is what I have done. But now my suspension is about done and it is decision making time!

Thanks for the response Dave. Maybe I'll just end up "building" up the F23 with every respectable engine mod there's available, then go searching for a turbo. :eh:

With 28k on the motor you would be better off selling the car for a lude or going turbo.
You can get USDM 98+ H22s with around 10K-20K, but you will pay 3,500-4,000 for it.
