Programming a replacement key
I have an '04 Accord and lost one of my keys. I would like to know if it is possible to program it myself since the dealership wants to charge me $100.00 bucks for it. I know there is a way to program the remote to work by turning the car on\off while pressing the lock or unlock button in between. Will this program the key two or do I really need to take it into the dealership.
do you have a super key with lock / trunk controls built into it?
here are some programming directions, but not for that specific type.

you can give it a shot though.

It is one of the super keys. My concern is that the Engine Immobilization in the key will not get programmed. I have programmed the remote before, but I am not sure if the key engine immobilization get programmed the same way.
check for prices as most of the time the dealer is cheeper then the locksmith. in order to program the key into the immobilizer unit and delete the lost key you need either HDS (Honda) or TCODE (locksmith) to program the remote part it's the same as most Hondas.
