Default 96 Accord JDM swap issues

Hello Everyone,

I just found this forum and registered. Anyways my question is....

Q: My 96 Accord will turn over, fire, then bump like 2-3 times and shutoff. I cannot for the life of me find anything wrong with it. It is not throwing any code, either.

Background: I did a swap/replace of a F22B1 with a JDM F22, everything is in and hooked up. I ran a diagnostic on it, and it shows the Throttle Position Sensor at 12%, but everything else looks okay. If you could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, fuel seems to be getting there just fine. I found that out the hard way. The first time I tried to start it, the return line slipped off and it spewed gas all over the concrete.

check your timing and plug wires for correct fireing order. also a OBD2 what dizzy are you using? also did you hookup the CKP & TDC sensors on the oil pump? the computer won't throw any code except a coolant temp and a few other until it's running or after 2 drive cycles.

Sorry the the late response, been really busy.

There was an issue with the timing, was off a tooth and 1 balance shaft was out 180. All sensors are hooked up too. Here is where I'm at now.

It started and ran for a couple minutes and stalled out, now. Doesn't want to start anymore.

Now the issue is it's throwing a Coolant Temperature Switch code. It only ran when I removed it, but I know it's not bad.

Any ideas?

if it's throwing the coolant temp code then it's a bad coolant temp sensor or connection to the sensor and computer also this is the sensor on the side of the engine under the dizzy and not the one on thermostat or front of the engine.

The sensor has been tested and is within honda specs. The signal seems to be getting to the computer properly.
