Default What is LSD?

I've read about alot of people getting LSD for their accord engines recently. I know LSD is limited slip differential and it has something to do with the wheels/tractions. Can anyone give me a more detailed description? How much does it cost to get, and is it worth it?

LSD - A crystalline compound, C20H25N3O, derived from lysergic acid and used as a powerful hallucinogenic drug.

it makes both or your wheels turn at the same speed...that way one wheel isnt spinning and the other is. i saw one just the other day for $295...although most accords dont need them too bad cause they dont have enough power stock. now if you had a swap or forced induction or something it might be a better idea. they are one of the best mods you can do to a car with a lot of power to the wheels.

I guess you've never seen the movie "My Cousin Vinny" Ever get stuck in the mud? Only one tire spins... A Limited Slip Differential makes both of your wheels spin. LSDs have been around for ages, mostly in RWD applications. Recently, you've probably noticed a lot of new cars available with "Traction Control". This is basically a FWD LSD. It's a decent upgrade if you're putting a heck of a lot of power down to the pavement and can't get traction (not too likely with a 4-cyl Accord), it's also useful if you drive in areas of the country where you'll experience snowy, icey or extremely rainy conditions.

Good explaination CWA, but FWD traction control doesn't even come close to the benefits of a real LSD.

Hmmm, I thought it was basically the same thing, except electronic as opposed to mechanical.
