Need help with brake light please!
Hi I have a 94 accord dx coupe auto. My brake lights are staying on all the time. I have a plastic piece that I found on the floor that looks like a plastic ring and a pointy thingy
. I know that the switch is fine, but don't know if this is part of it. Anyone know the part # the dealers have no idea what I'm talking about.

How do you know the switch is OK?
The switch is on the bracket above the pedal (#11). Then there's a button on the lever of the pedal (#17) - I bet that's what you found.

Check the switch itself by pushing it's button & watching to see if the brake lamps go out.

i'm like 99% sure that its the brake switch. just open it up and clean it really good w/ an electronic parts cleaner. you can get that @ radio shack
and that plastic ring more than likely came from the same switch.
