Default Its about that time

My 99 Accord EX V6 has about 106K and I think its about time for me to replace the timing belt. The dealer is charging about $750 for the job. I also wanted to get some other things done while doing this like change the drive belts, adjust valves, water pump, etc. How much more do you think having these things done would cost me. I know that there is not much more work involved since they are already removing alot of the components they need to do the job.

Thanks for the any help.

I would call around for other prices......I dont really see the point of taking an 8 yr old car back to the dealer when a shop could do the same job for cheaper

lets see, when I did my timing belt change:

Parts: 150 bucks
Water pump
timing belt
balance belt
head gasket seal
spark plug seals.
a bunch of other stuff too,

Labor to install these parts: 150.00 ( local mechanic )
Any mechanic can do a valve adjustment. doesnt necessarily have to be done by a honda dealer.

I see the dealer is trying to :boink: you

definitely shop around.
