1995 Honda Accord EXR V6

My A/C Compressor is Squeeling, I think its a bearing gone, I don't feel like spending the 600+ to fix it...can I just cut the belt and be done with it? I don't believe it runs anymore components from what I can see.

Any thoughts??

had to cut it deadon highway...nothing else is runing off of it after closer inspection. So car works fine except no A/C. Need to find cheap compressor of E-bay or somthing...

u sure it was ur compressor, not the belt that was making the noise?

Usually u can put on belt dressing and make it even tighther and that makes it go away for sure.

 

Belt dressing makes contain petroleum products that breakdown rubber. It is a temporary fix for a squeaky belt but it reduces the belt life even more.
