1991 Accord w/ heat damaged distributor wiring
Hello
I have a 1991 Accord Lx that would not start. Traced the problem to a defective coil. Replaced the coil with a new Delco coil and the motor started for 5 seconds or less and then quit. Traced the problem to a second defective coil. The wiring inside the distributor is very heat checked and damaged. However it did start indicating the connections were correct and my diagnosis was also. I am considering replacing the distributor with a new aftermarked on. Anyone with experiance with these? Any idea why the coil would go twice. Just a defective part or something else? Thanks guys
