Is anyone on this forum from Umass and drive a bordeaux red 5th gen? If so, I
the worst school?? uhh, whatcha been smokin man, id like some. . .
where exactly is it you go to school there slick? Theres not a school in boston with a better engineering program except MIT and unless you go there, im not impressed. If you're in school to drink, i agree, its the place to be, but you can't afford a sweet ride with all the mods with a degree in boston bar knowledge. :fawk:
Hmm, only MIT is better in engineering???? Gimme a break, WPI is such a better engineering school than Amherst and so is WIT. I don't go to school for Engineering, so sorry I don't "impress" you. I go for Multimedia and Web Design at the New England Art Institute, it's in Brookline. I was just half ass with my opinion, but jeesh, i'm just playin. Even still, I hope you don't think Amherst is right behind MIT in Engineering schools in New England....even Mass for that matter.
Second of all, if you like you're major, that's fine. But I was saying the school was ghetto...can't disagree when you see dorms with bars on the windows and desks lit on fire going down a hill
Chill dude, you're taking it too personal

For clarity, I didn't say in Mass, I said in Boston. WPI and WIT are good schools too, but the difference between them and us is not significant in any measurable way so saying they are much better is a great exaggeration.
I do owe you an apology on the subject of your major, that was a somewhat unfair qualification i put on my argument.
Anyways, i happen to think living in amherst is better then living in boston, especially given i can get to boston if i want to in an hour. I also don't live in the dorms, nor do i see many flaming desks, so I really don't have that problem =).
Your opinion differs from mine, I'm over it.

i hate to make this a bashing thread but since it already is i dont feel bad. dude i dont know which amherst youve been to but its obviously not the one in mass. 1 amherst is a hopping town with a huge bar scene. believe me thats just about all there is here. 2 you must have been some obscure place to find bars on dorm windows cause there are none here. sure the walls look like jail cells but the windows dont. 3 as for the whole engineering dept. he didnt say it was the best. he said it was really good. which it is. leave it alone. 4 this is a car forum. talk cars not trash.
Cool man...I just checked the web out of curiosity for top engineering schools in the country. MIT #1 of course, Harvard #17, Yale and Dartmouth in there somewhere and UMASS #49. Not too shabby. I appologize as well, didn't mean to burst any bubbles. I don't live on campus anyways, never could I live in Boston, or at least afford to. I just like the convenience of having anything to do within walking distance. Where do you live anyways? I know a few peeps that live in Puffton Village, which isn't half as bad as JQA, where they used to live...
I live on sunset across from southwest, I sit on my porch and drink beer and watch girls walk by all day =).
As for yale and harvard. . .ive met those kids, they arent that great, a bunch of yuppies paying twice as much as they should for the same degree. Dartmouth I can see. . .maybe. Anyways, all the schools on those lists are the same. There are so many engineering schools in the country that the top 100 are all about even anyways.
