Default Engine Light Turn On

SUP EVERYONE...

i hav a 95 accord lx..... my engine light turns on .... at first i thought it was nothing cause my friend had told me that its because i dont warm it up ... so i just turn on the car for like about 10 mins. then i hit the road but the light still comes on... anybody hav any ideas what might be the problem??? i really appreciate it thanx

0 - Engine Control Modual (ECM)
1 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) or Oxygen Sensor (O2S)
3
- Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP Sensor)
5
4 - Crankshaft Position (CKP Sensor)
6 - Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT Sensor)
7 - Throttle Position (TP Sensor)
8 - Top Dead Center Position (TDC Sensor)
9 - No. 1 Cylinder Position (CYP Sensor)
10 - Intake Air Temperature (IAT Sensor)
12 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System
13 - Barometric Pressure (BARO Sensor)
14 - Idle Air Control (IAC Valve)
15 - Ignition Output Signal
16 - Fuel Injector
17 - Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)
19 - Lock-Up Control Solenoid Valve A/B (A/T)
20 - Electrical Load Detector (ELD)
21 - VTEC Solenoid Valve
22 - VTEC Pressure Switch
41 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater
43 - Fuel Supply System
48 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) [D15Z1(except California model)]

I think thats the codes for the obd1 ECU

Don't ever take advice from that friend again. Go to autozone and have the CEL read for free.

:rofl: I couldn't help but laugh at that. We had a pontiac bonneville that did just that. The check engine light would come on, then would go off once it warmed up in 5-15 minutes. It only happened in the winter months. Wierd.

Usually just for OBD-2 cars (starting 1996). AutoZone & places like that use their reader & read it for free, hoping you'll buy some parts. But get the actual code number from them; sometimes they get pretty creative explaining what you should fix.
