Default Squeaking/Ticking noise from front passenger side

Hey All, After lurking, I finally have a problem that I am seeking help with. This morning my 01 Accord EXV6, began making a strange noise from under the glove compartment. This noise sounds like it is something electrical, since it does not happen when the car is turned off. It only comes on when the car is started or when the key is in position 3. Has anyone had any problem with this noise?. Are there any TSBs out there that address this?

Thanks in advance.

The only thing I can think of is the A/C motor blower thats under the glove box but, only if turned on by the switches will it spin up. Is your heat A/c fan on all the time?
If not, than better describe this noise you hear.

you sure it's not coming from under the hood? no strange dash lights?

if it sounds like a hair dryer, it might be the alternator.

if it's truly coming from under the glove box, that's where the in-cabin airfilters are held. There could be something large trapped in there or a blower bearing might have went.

Default Thanks

I did notice that the noise wasn't present when I checked last night. It wasn't present when the AC was running, and didn't return when the AC returned. Is the AC blower motor that big black thing under the glove box?

Yep thats the motor blower.
I believe there are 3 screws that hold it in place. I know mine was making this hummmming noise that me drove nuts. I opened it up and found a shit load of leaves in there. ( buttons 1 & 2 didnt turn on fan ) once replaced noise went away and problem solved.

Matter of fact I think I have may still have the new motor blower i bought which i didnt use. I believe the 6 and 4cyl versions are the same.

Wow.. I will be taking it apart later and looking inside. If that doesn't work, I will be checking around that area to see what else it could be.

Hi. Is that blower motor for 91 accord and do you still have it? Need to replace mine - consider selling it?

what sucks is that u'll have to take out ur evaporator core (part of A/C system) and then recharge ur a/c.

here're the instructions:

maybe its a ground. when my ground wire near the tstat went bad i had all kinds of clicking under the dash in the console etc. relays, solenoids. there is a heater valve on the firewall on the passenger side of most accords that will make noise.
