Default engine swap

i wanna do an engine swapon my 95 accord ... im not really an expert when it comes to engine swaps.... i got an 2.2L DOHC VTEC..... the only problem is that my car has an automatic transmission.... well the question can i put any engine in the car or does it hav to be a specific engine for the automatic transmission??? and does the vtec produce as much power with an automatic transmission as it would with a stickshift??...

thanx

Id hang on to the block. what is it H22? you can get a used tranny and it should just mount right up if you perfer a stick. but my questions is why? if its not broken dont fix it.

Anything will -feel- like it has more power with a manual vs. automatic, whether it's a honda 4-banger vtec or a chevy small block 350. I'd estimate that most auto's eat up anywhere from 5-15 pony's depending on the transmission. I could be wrong on the exact numbers, and I'm not sure how they'd measure it, but it's definitely significant. I don't see why a vtec motor would produce less HP in any way in an auto, as far as raw power is concerned, as long as the auto allows for higher RPM's since vtec kicks in in the higher RPM range.

there are two vtecs.
the h22 which goes 190 and the f22b type vtec which has 145hp.

a good header? cant go wrong with DC sports.

^ don't just burst in here and ruin this guys thread by askin a random question about your headlights either make a thread or search.....

as for the swap if you plan on turboing it wouldn't it be better to go with a f22b
and if you wanna go supercharge then mayb go with an h22??
