1997 Accord idle problem
Hello forum,
....Perhaps you all can help me.
I have a 1997 Honda Accord SE, with approx 162K miles. It runs well, and I have only one concern:
Between starting up the car and stopping at lights and etc, the rest idle can vary from 650 RPM to 300 RPM. Also, it appears sometimes that it will stop so low that sometime is 'pushing' the idle up a bit as I am continuously stopping. I've taken it to Honda dealerships (2) and all they do is adjust the idle--that's a bandaid.
What can be done by this novice (or, what can I tell a mechanic to do) that will address this issue?
