Default 90 Accord install trunk weatherstrip?

I purchased the one piece trunk weatherstrip from honda parts unlimited, but before I install it I was wondering if any of the experts out there had any tips for me so I don't screw up as I'm new at this. Right now I have the original weatherstrip which is 17 yrs old and I figure it got compressed over the years as the trunk gets some pretty bad leaks after a downpour, with water collecting in the well behind the brake lights on the trunk lid as well as in the trunk itself? Any advice?
Thanks!

Jaime

Water in the trunk of a CB7 usually comes from leakage around the taillight gaskets. You can either install new gaskets or use some silicone caulk to get the surfaces sealed. I had the same problem with my 91 and I pulled the taillights, cleaned the surfaces, applied silicone caulk to each surface and reinstalled the lights and it stopped my leak(s).
