my friend and I both have 2000 accord ex's, however his is the V6 model that has steering wheel mounted buttons and has a tape player with the stereo. Mine has no steering wheel buttons, and no tape player, but does have a cd player.

So my question is, if i take my stereo and plug it into his car will the buttons still work, his cd player is broken and i wanted to give him mine since im swapping it out anyway...

i thought so too, but definitely no buttons, and definitely an ex, it could just be because its the ulev version... not sure..

 

My 2001 EX has no steering wheel controls for the stereo. Only for the Cruise Control

Same here. Just for cruise. Didn't care about the steering wheel buttons for the radio anyways. I can't stand factory stereos, even if they are the 6 disc changer or whatever. I think I replaced the stereo on my Accord before I even registered it.
