I just got a brand new radiator (Not oem) and also a thermosta that's been stuck open for 2 years. But lately, every time I drive my car for about 20mins plus. Right after I shut off my car, the fan comes on. Is it because my car isn't used to the thermo staying closed for long periods of time or something's wrong?

 

no, it's supposed to do that, now it it weren't turning off it'd be a problem.

 

my 4th gen does the same thing....nothing to be worried about

 

what could it be if it does stay on? i have this problem.

 

make sure both fans are running, one will turn on with your compressor. if only one is working there is only one fan trying to cool the whole engine instead of two. so it takes longer to cool it down after the car is off.

 

none of my fans work when the car is off......one of the fans will work only if i have the key in the ignition. the other fan works but doesnt shut off . i have to take out the fuse in order for it to shut off or it will stay on. what could be the problem?

I have a 95 honda accord 2.2 vtec engine. I just recently installed an alarm with remote start but I dont have the remote start hooked up though just the alarm.

I tryed to hook the remote start up but didnt work so i am going to get that professionly installed. I hope I didnt fry any of my wires. I checked the relays and fuses there all still good. If I did screw up the wireing what would I need to fix it?
My cooling fan only comes on when my car is off. When I turn my air condioner on both fans come on so I know the fans work.

My fan uses to come on when my car was on just randomly. Now if dont come on at all with my ignition on. so when my car is idleing the temp gauge goes up past the half way mark.

I was thinking that maybe my sensor could be bad? I just changed my theromostat. can somebody help???
