Default Leather Seat Replacement (Accord '01 EX Coupe)

Hi All,

Question: I would like to replace my front driver's side leather seat on my 2001 Accord EX Coupe - the leather is ripped up on the left side pretty bad (seam is split in multiple pieces). Has anyone ever replaced a seat? If so, where to get an OEM leather seat (eBay didn't seem to have any, I would like to keep everything original). Also, what does it take, just removed a few bolts and unconnect electric seat harnesses? Any other advice?

Thx!!

Why not have it repaired? There are auto upholstery shops which will remove the seat, unstitch the torn leather panel, and replace just the bad panel. I had that done on a Vigor and you'd never know it had been repaired.

(Mine required three panels and cost about $250.)

If you decide to go that route, check their swatches for a perfect match. A few of the shops I went to were able to get "pretty close," but I finally found one that had an "exact" match.

my rear and front leather seats to my 98 accord are all cracked up. Im planning on replacing them too. Do they make BLACK LEATHER seats for the 6th gen Sedan? If so, is it cheaper to buy the seats or to go with the upholstery shop?
