Default Tranny Help Please!!

hey, I recently bought a very used (300k miles) '91 Accord LX w/ the 5-speed. it runs but won't move far (5 inches so far) under its own power w/o dying when I release the clutch. I can move the shifting arm w/o the clutch. i can't get it into the 5th gear slot though!! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Probably not since he's trying to shift into gear with the clutch out.

If it was a CV joint, I would think you'd hear some not so nice noises when the transmission was engaged. Basically you'd have your driveaxle spinning around nailing the other end of the joint which would sound pretty bad. I'm betting it's the clutch, especially if the one in it now is the original.
