Default Cargo net - drill in trunk bottom?

I was going to install a net for someone in an 2006 sedan and looking at the directions online for the net, it looks like you have to drill holes in the bottom of the trunk. Is that the through the metal/main part of the trunk, ie. will it drill through to the underside of the car? Or is there some extra panel in there that you're only drilling through?

iirc, you wont drill through the underside.

as long as you dont go too deep, youll be fine.

So is it just very thick or is there more than 1 panel/layer that makes up the trunk floor?

Yes you have to drill through the floor, You are only drilling through the top layer. No harm will be done, I have installed many of them.
