You know how we all bitch and moan about the clock light in the 6th gens burning out? Well, I never really missed it because it wasn't working when I bought the car (at 100K miles) and relied instead upon my CD deck for a clock at night. However, just last week I was driving at night and noticed the clock was lit up! Aye! It was beautiful it was! I hope it lasts. Wish me luck .

That would be novel wouldn't it? Naa, seriously, I'm sure it's an easy fix. I had to take the dash unit off anyway when I took out the old sony deck (the kid that installed it must have been on coke ) so I should have just replaced it then. Bottom line is I just didn't care. But now that it works, if it goes out I'll probably replace it. It's just so damn pretty!

 

Very strange indeed.

Dead bulbs coming back to life would actually worry me more. Last thing I want is a minor electrical issue.

 

My 2k Coupes Clock light blew out @ i think 70k miles. I also just used my CD players clock to determine the time @ night.

I bought the replacement bulb to restore slight value. It cost me a litte more than 5$ on eBaY.
