How big was this "puddle"? Not to offend, but one should avoid or drive around puddle of water just because it's hard to determine how deep they can be. I remember a few years back when we had lots of rain in our area, the funniest thing happen. One after the other, these drivers would drive right into a flooded street... and each one would stall, yet people still drove right in.

sounds like you hydro locked the motor as a CAI w/o bypass valve will suck water into the cylinders. that probably why your still having idleing problems the timing belt might have even jumped because of it. but if you did get it to run right you might still have problems with down the line .

well jus to let you know, i could barely see anything and i was almost to my dad's house so i wasnt going to stop. and it was a one lane road, even if i had to swerve, which i did a lil, i would have still hit another puddle on the other side, thats how much it was pouring, and thats how big the puddles were.

i also forgot to say that, i got the car back. in short, i guess i didnt need a new IAC because they didnt charge me for the part. they told me they jus put some carbon cleaner in the intake manifold and cleaned it. casically, the car is normal again, the way it used to be. thanks for all the replies.
