Like the title says, how many coolant temperature sensors are there on a 1994 Accord LX 4cyl? I'm having a problem with the temperature gauge not reading correctly (reads all the way hot as soon as i start it even if its been sitting all night in below freezing temp). I found 2 CTS's and bought 2 new ones, plugged them in temporarily, but the gauge still reads the same.

is there another sensor somewhere that controls the temperature gauge?

On a 92, there are two located under the distributor and the thinner one is the sensor for the gauge. There is a third one by the upper radiator hose, but technically it is a "switch" -- short and fat.

If you pull off the electrical connector from the right one, the gauge should drop to zero, unless it is defective.

In any case, the Autozone website provides a guide for locating components --- it may be worth a try.
