bad ground

k, i just bought a 1990 honda accord lx. got it home and put a battery in it and it did nothing. my guess is a bad ground or something. anyone know a good spot 2 ground it at. the motor is a 2.2L 5-speed

First, test your battery, it could have a bad cell...Yes this could be caused by a bad ground, buy a repair manuel and find out where the ground is, use a test light and multimeter...could also be a bad ignition tumbler, if you have a trigger start, hook it up and try it.

the car didnt have a battery in it when i got it. bought a brand new duralast 800-amps. i followed the ground wire and it is bolted underneath the starter. the wire is exposed about 2inches. there is blue stuff on the wire. is that corrosion
