Default its back...again...cel

initially I used the blink codes and got a code 9 - CYP.

disconnect battery, install new distributor, couple days later CEL back on.

wasted a few months trying to figure that out, only to find I was supposed to use a scanner to get the "p codes", not the blink codes

i took the car in since i dont have a scanner, the guy said it was P1457. he tested it and the evap purge valve was bad.

i got a new purge valve

disconnect battery, install new purge valve

guess what

CEL back on again

what now

could be a number of things. A bad FTP (fuel tank pressue sensor), could be the canister itself. Its really dificult to say without being able to test the system with the proper tools

You might want to check and make sure your gas cap is good.
