Oil Pan Help!?!?!
I Need To Change The Oil Pan On A 99 Accord Ex V6 And Was Wondering If It Was A Simple Diy Job Or Should I Take It In To A Mechanic. How Much Work Does It Involve And How Long Do You Think It Will Take Me? Oh Yea, About How Much Should It Cost If I Do End Up Taking It To A Mechanic.????
Drain oil and remove filter. Unbolt exhaust pipe from manifold. Remove all bolts from oil pan and remove, use a dull pry tool if the pan doesn't pull off on it's own.
Install is reverse of removal, remove all gasket material. Use a new gasket.

Out of curiosity, why do you need to do this?
From the helms manual: All 17 pan bolts need to be torqued to 12Nm. Remember, tighten bolts in a crisscross pattern with the ones on the ends being tightened last.
Use liquid gasket to the mating surface of the block and the inner threads of the bolt holes, which you can get from your Honda dealer. PN is 08718-0009. This is in addition to a new gasket.
