there is a weird almost like humming noise coming from my car when I turn the key to the accessories n such...and when I crank the car I still hear it...anybody have a clue as to what it might be?....it just started doing it out of nowhere

 

Maybe a belt got loose?.....what kinda car is it? where is it coming from?

see I thought that too...but I turned my lights on and the noise changed tones...almost like its something electrical ...its pretty loud whatever it is....anyone have any REAL ideas

 

did you try to pinpoint where the sound is coming from?

and it sounds like its comin from the front half of the car possibly under the engine bay

I found out its NOT the fuel pump....its coming from the front drivers side under the hood....if I touch the motor I can't feel any vibration..but if I touch the left side of my car I can feel vibration...its somethin electrical but what the heck could make a noise like that?
