I have an 89 accord with 5spd trans..im trying to change the fluid in the trans but cant find the filler plug. Chilton book is say that i fill it from the top with a long neck funel. but i dont see a spot for it from the top of the car. does anyone know where i fill it at. and it says that i put engine oil in it not gear oil...any advice would really help me out..thanks.

 

If you have a local honda dealer you can go in the parts department and have them print out a diagram for you. My guess would be its on the top of the transmission, and its probably a bolt, bigger then the rest that may be viewable on the transmission.

 

thats a good suggestion going to the dealer and getting a print out. or someone there could just come out and show u. try www.3geez.com a forum for your generation.
