Default EGR Question

The EGR system on my Accord does not seem to work properly. Is there a way to tell if the problem is the EGR VALVE itself or the EGR VACUUM SOLENOID in the control box? Please advise.

any codes.you could test the solenoid you will need a vac pump it should hold vacuum off.the 3 wires to that egr are just the lift sensors.the 2 wires running to the egr vacuum solenoid are the activators one hot one ground so one wire should be hot and the other is controlled by the ecm.you could also see it you got vacuum to the egr with the solenoid unplugged you should not.
