Default foglight issue need some advice.

Well i had foglights on my 94 accord ex and i had to get rid of them because my oem aftermarket bumpers didnt have the right holes to mount them for some reason. anyways so i bought new fog lights figuring i could wire them using the old fog light wires and still use my oem foglight switch on my console. I got them tested them out and it worked great the oem switch still powered them on and off like factory ones would. Then i went and got the connectors that you melt the ends so they make a great water proof seal. while doing that i must of heated the wire too much because now the light on the switch for the foglight doesnt come on and the power for the foglights is gone. So what could have happend. could I have fried up somthing heating the wire connectors up and accidentlyl heating the fog light wires resulting in burning something??. I checked all the fuses thinkin somthing might have blown but nothing. And may i remind you i tested them the day before and they worked great but only after i used the wire connecters that you melt did they stop working alltogether. HELP ME OUT.

Check and see if you may have pulled a wire loose during the process. Are you sure it's not cross wired by accident?? It's happened to the best of us.

Are the wires making contact to the metal in the connector on both sides? Try dis-connecting the connectors and touching the wires together with the switch to the on position. See if the light comes on. If no, check your relay.

I tried every combination and even re crimped them makin sure they had contact. As i said the light for the switch would go on and off when i pushed it even when i had no foglights hooked up at all. it still would light up green as if the there were foglights hooked up. Im wondering why the light for the switch wont go on at all anymore.

check your fuses, you may have blown one

some circuits are funny about the resistance in the bulbs. when you get the switch to work try this:
1. get a relay
2. fog light switch to terminal 86
3. ground terminal 85
4.12V power WITH FUSE to terminal 30
5.wire new fogs to terminal 87
6.turn it on

This is extremely weird. Know any electricians who you may be able to consult about this?

the dealership i work at told me that the fog light switch with the light may have gone bad being that its an electronic switch. i may have burned it out some way by touching the two fog light wires together when i hooked it up. i tested all the fuses inside and under the hood and their good so im pretty sure its got something to do with the switch being that none of the wires are torn etc. So the next question is anyone got a working oem Fog light switch for an accord 94-97 there tryin to sell?
