Default 5th gen rear speaker installation problem

i just got a set of MTX Thunders from futureshop...

tried to install them tonight... but found that the holes don't line up...

the stock speakers have longer holes than the MTX's i just purchased...

how would i install these?

I'm guessing the mounting holes on the OEM speaker bracket is more of an oval than a circle shape. A few CM's go a long way.

To install your new speakers, you'll have to rotate the speaker in a position where you can drill 4 clean, new holes.

or ghetto rig it with zip ties.

exactly...

at least you didn't recommend double sided tape like my buddy
zip ties i guess work better than double sided tape

any other recommendations?

i'm not looking to drill any new holes in the vehicle...
speakers maybe... i've tried longating the holes already without much success

thanks for the advice... but would only work if the speaker was smaller...
unfortunatly... my holes are on the outside of each hole... so larger diameter
