I would assume he wants to install the J30 and ditch the F22, not the other way around, since he did just post about a friend selling a J30. Maybe he's considering buying it.

Indeed. Of course, it can be done, but there are suspension and chassis issues to consider alongside the actual engine fitment. Most people would say it's not worth it, and just tell you to trade in the I4 and buy a V6 car if that's what you want.

well anything is possible with money.... but he'll end up swapping out almost everything under the hood.

Yeah, doing an H22 would be vastly easier. not quite as much HP, but good enough.

if you want to swap... h22 will be easier than j30.

plus, the j30 has a crappy tranny.
