Stupid Flat Tire
So I get home this morning and as im exiting my car I hear this loud hissing noise. Now im thinking its the sprinkler system because I see it in. I walk around to the passenger side and I can hear it even louder. Im able to place my finger over the hole which is in the middle of the tire where the tread is.
My question is I know sometimes they are unable to plug or patch a flat if the hole isnt on the tread? Is that true?
I've never really caught a flat tire where I've taken it to the mechanic. I usually use that fix it flat.
Plus I wanted to go to best buy this morning.

The tire held air, was able to get home...so I start taking the wheels off, figure I'll have to order one and it's going to be a while so I better throw on the 16" wheels and tires that I used in the winter in Ohio. The first wheel/tire combo I pull out has no air.
A nice nail right in the middle of the tread...must have happened a day or two before I removed the wheel and tire months ago. So it' wasn't exactly a good wheel and tire day for me.I got the 16" tire repaired (the nail was right in the middle of the tread) and now I'm on those wheels and tires. Gotta order a new wheel now.
I thought it was ironic that I survived with 18" wheels in Ohio...riddled with potholes and I had to move to pothole free Phoenix and I now get a bent wheel.
Sucks...but you should be able to get it repaired cheaply/no cost.
