When I hit a bump, a fairly loud, almost musical (boing-boing) noise comes from the trunk area. Any suggestions what it may be? (It's not the jack or the spare.) The trunk closing rods?

gas tank straps came loose?

 

i dont know but last spring i heard a "boing" sound coming from the rear of the car. i assumed it was my relatively new springs, but my friend said that it really unlikley that my springs came off their unseated. the sound went away. unless it is a constant thing...i wouldn't worry about it.
