he has a point. the coinholder holds my coins very well. and when a bum asks me for money i simply take out the coinholder, dump a few dollars worth of change into their hands and pop that son of a gun back in. good question! BRING IT BACK

I used to love the change drawer on my 4th gen. It was awesome... until one day I somehow brought my elbow down on it and broke it off. 
I guess that must have been slightly common, because for the 5th gen, Honda redesigned it to flip out instead of sliding out. UGH... this design sucked! Because of the angle, I couldn't drop coins into it without half of them ending up on the floor! I really missed the old "slide out" design of the 4th gen, even though I'd have probably broken it off again.
So anyway, there is a coin holder in the 7th gen Accord. Two of them, actually. There's the "not an ashtray" thing and the one inside the armrest. The rubber lining of the "not an ashtray" is technically removeable, too, if you really have a fixation on being able to take something out.
