Default problems starting the car

Hi guys,

I am having problems with starting my car. I have Honda Accord '91 LX.
Let me tell you a little bit about it… It starts, but then it dies the next second. A minute later, I try again… and it starts. I changed my fuel filter, but it didn't help. What could be the problem?
I've been having this problem twice a week for the past 3 months.

I am afraid one day I will not start it at all.

Thanks for your help.

P.S. Also, I changed my sparkplugs and sparkplug wires.

Engine light is fine.

When I was changing my fuel filter, I have noticed that there was no fuel in the fuel line... not even a drop. ( I had my gas tank cap off when changing it)

I'm gonna guess PGM-FI main fuel relay.

Yeah, I'm going to agree with you. Oventually the relay will fail and you'll be stuck. I had 92 lude and the relay crapped out on me at work, finally, but I had the 3rd shift so no one was awake to pick me up... I replaced it for like 50 bucks or something.

does tthe lights on the dash stay on when it dies ? if the dummy lights are off then it's a bad ignition switch (electrical part) if it's a main relay the car would stay running but would start up fine when cold but on a hot day or after a drive won't restart after the engine is shut off unitl it's cooled down.

guys, thank you for your replies... i think it's a main relay. it does tend to start better when the weather is cooler (sometimes). i am going to change it and see what happens next. I will keep you posted...

thanks to everyone.

I'm still having the problem...

I checked my main fuel relay... it's fine. It is making 3 clicks...
I has to be something else. I thing it could the fuel punp or the distributor.
What do you think? What should i do next?

thanks a lot.
