Default H22 vs F22?

I'm sure this has been discussed many times before so I'm sorry if you are sick of this sort of topic. I have a 94 Honda Accord Lx and I really want to give it some power. At first I thought, oh it's simple, I'll swap the H22 in and turbo it. Now I'm finding out that the h22 engine cannot handle it as well as the F22. Well. does anybody here know how I can make it strong enough to handle turbo such as the f22. Or would it be a better idea to boost up the F22. If anybody knows an estimate on prices let me know. Also where to begin if you think I should boost the F22. I know building the H22 would be expensive but lets say that isnt a problem, lol, where would I begin to make it handle some boost. Thank you and sorry for the WOT

I had the same question ounce. here's how they answered me. If you don't already have the h22 doing the swap will equal the total HP if you were to turbo the f22. about 200-220, somewhere in that neighborhood.

doing the h22 swap costs more money then to turbo the f22

unless you have loads of money swapping to the h22 will be most valuable, since you have a larger aftermarket supply to build it, you'll have endless fun

I for the other hand have null to slim amounts of money, so a cheap CAI is as close to any kind of induction as I can get. hehehe

umm i know that the f22 are more boost friendly than the h22 unless u build the h22 right u can run between 10-15 boost, but i have a h22 swap accord 94 lx and its mighty fun, u get honda data some cam gears headers exhuast intake, and u will see a big difference, with the honda on my h22 my vtec gos from 4700 to 8000, so its nice

Default yeah F22

The F22 is more boost friendly from what i've heard. They are a reliable and strong motor. I've had several people say that there is a guy on some honda forum out there running his almost stock F22B at 14psi and getting 300ish horsepower AND it's his daily driver plus hes quite a few miles on it, and no problems. If I were you I would build up your own turbo setup for your F22 and have it tuned.

Amen. The F22 is one hell of a motor, even though it lacks the power of the H22, its more dependable. I've seen swaps done on accords and honestly I think the F22 will go a hell of alot farther.
