Default f20a sohc

i have a sohc non-vtec f20a but have heard that they come in dohc so is there any way i can change the sohc to dohc without changing the head. i also heard they come with 150 hp which is from the accord si jdm. so why is it non-vtec and sohc?

look most readers would just past this question by, but I'll try to help you out a bit.

the only way to not change the head from a SOHC to a DOHC is to do a complete swapp.

but the easiest way is to change the head only from the SOHC to a DOHC.

the only problem I have is that I dont know if doing the head swap would work.

hope this helps.

I've never heard of an F20A single cam. Do you have an 86-89 Accord? That's an A20A, 2.0 single cam.

they are jdm, we have one in the project car im building.

same as a f22 just shorter stroke so it revs quicker. it is suppose to redline at 8k however it probably doesnt even make power at those rpms aka (ruins people's motors)
