Default VAFC2/VTec issues

I have an automatic 01accord and its acting up weird with the VAFC. what happens is that when I'm done with the afc settings and all, the engine throws the p1259 code which is a vtec malfunction code. Now after driving the car a little, the vafc is resetting itself, as in, the settings are back to factory and then after driving a few more miles, the check engine light turns itself off. Now anyone with any ideas? vafc is bad? vtec solenoid? wires? if anyone encountered the same problem, please let me know.thanks =)

it's telling you the vafc is worthless :reechy:

what mods do you have that made you think you had to get a vafc?

We simply can't adjust our VTEC change-over. It's been tried many times in the past. Our car's employ a different, more economic, form of VTEC.

Do you have a window switch so you're not spraying between shifts??

get rid of it. bolt on's dont require you to tune the engine. and there are better options when you do need to tune.
