Default Fuel filter?

Okay, so I was gonna change the fuel filter myself on my 96 Honda Accord yesterday, until I saw where it was at. So I called around and Mida's had the lowest price, $30 (I already had the filter), and said it would take a half hour. So I take it there, and 3 hours later, they give up. There was no less than 2 people doing it at any time and at one point 5 techs were standing over my car. They didnt charge me anything, and the service manager said he wouldnt have charged me any extra even if they did get it in.. so now Im wondering how to do it.

Maybe I should just go to the dealer? They quoted me at $54.50.

wow, $55 is a deal at the dealer! Although they'll probably end up breaking the fuel line and charge you to replace that too (the line alone is like $100)

Wow. I didn't know replacing the fuel filter on a 5th Gen was so dramatic. The 4th gen wasn't all that bad. Half hour max. .
