how was the outcome was it worth it ?

A 9005 conversion will net you 700 more lumens, that's a good deal of light.

so you do it by cutting the guides out and the top and sides ?

It's actaully on the back of the package. It's list's the specs for all sylvania bulbs. The Cool Blue 9006 was 1000 lumens, the 9005 was 1700.

I had 9005 lowbeams in my fifth gen. I used GE white bulbs. It was pretty decent.

a normal 9006 bulb (55 watts) puts out 1000 lumens, where a 9005 (65 watts) puts out 1700.

The 9005 bulb also does not have the shading on the tip of the bulb, which helps the output. Notice a D2R HID bulb puts out 2800 lumens, where a D2S bulb puts out 3200 lumens, only difference between the two is some shading on the D2R bulb.

ok just did 9005 conv very pleased yellow as hell will it effect the wiring harness ?
