anyone replaced a master cyclinder themselves on 96 ex
Well, I've done it on a '95 I ntegra... it should be about the same.
See what you need to get out of the way, like the shock-tower braces that are on my '98.
Suck fluid out of reservoir, and/or drain thru caliper bleed screws.
Loosen the tube fittings. (Use a flare wrench so you don't round off the fittings.)
Two nuts hold the MC to the vacuum booster. Take it off.
Compare the pushrod sticking out of the MC. New & old ones should be exactly the same length. Mine were the same, so I didn't have to do anything. There's a special measuring tool, but I didn't need it. The adjustment is inside the car, between the brake pedal & firewall.
Bench-bleed the new MC like this:
Find some tubing that fits where the brake lines go. Bend it up so it squirts into the reservoir. Add fluid & pump it until there's no air bubbles. It'll be messy so have rags underneath when you install the new MC into the car.
Tighten the fittings & fill with brake fluid. Bleed the brakes.

yup very easy pull 2 12mm nuts and 2 10mm flare nuts with a line wrench . remove master cylinder take new one pour fluid in it and pump it until fluid comes out on the holes then install and bleed the system and leave the ABS alone.
