Sold the ol '93.
Maybe it isn't appropriate, but I wanted to make a memorial thread for a hard-working veteran that has sacrificed much for me. My 1993 Accord.
I finally sold the 1993 Accord Sedan DX. Bought it with 99K on it, sold it with 178K. That car and I go way back. Met my wife with it, had my first kid with it (not in it luckily, but almost...). It was like a member of the family. It was there through the good times and the bad times, although it never was the cause of the bad times like my wife's nissan that broke down 50 miles outside of Grand Junction in the middle of the desert. It will be sorely missed. I hope the 16 year old kid who bought it takes care of it. I told him to change to oil every 3-4K and keep up on the other maintenance. If he doesn't I'll hunt him down and kick his @SS. Anyone else ever feel this way when they sold their old honda? I sold a chevy once but trust me, I never even looked back when they were driving away with it. Seeing that gray accord disappear in the distance almost brought a tear to my eye. :wtc:

Thats how I felt when I sold my 96, but I sold it to a friend of the family. It was his first car. He's had it almost a year and it looks just as good as when I sold it to him. It's not hard to get attached to a car that has treated you so well.
sry for the loss. 93 accord dx, how much you sold it for? was the money worth all the history and memories you had together? did you ever considered just keeping it laying around? had a 93 accord lx once, first car, survive through a theft, got it back, and sister totaled it in an accident. brought tears to my eyes:cry:
I got $2400 out of it. It was in pretty good shape. No problems, no rust, everything works. Only downside was it is due for a timing belt change at 190K (belt was changed at 100K). I was about to keep it simply for that reason, it had so many memories attached to it. But change is something I've gotten used to in life. It was time to pass it on. The '99 I've got now will be there for all the memories for the next half-decade or so.
