Brakes popped and became stiff...?
Story
I live in Phoenix AZ, the temperature today was about 106 degrees F.
I have a 92 honda accord, 147k miles.
Replaced rotors about 6 months ago.
No other problems.
Last month I was driving about 360 miles per week for summer school. I noticed that the maintence required light had shifted in the dashboard panel, to yellow. I stuck my key in their and it was became green again.
Problem
Today, I was leaving the grocery store at about 9am.
Put my key in the ignition, turn the engine on and put my foot on the brake almost simultaneouly.
Then I heard a pop. At this time I was putting the car in motion. I noticed that the pedal had become stiff and was difficult to stop.
Information
I have read all applicable forums and found one close to my problem.
It was the vacuum or something?
I think the problem may be the brake booster?
What the hell can be done?

so now the car is hard to stop as in you cannot get any leverage on the brakes?
this happened when my booster was going out but id check the vacuum lines first. pop may be the brake booster line blowing up *shrugs*
