Default Dash lights staying on.

01 Accord. Recently the dash lights started staying on then the alternator died. I had it re-built then put it on and the dash lights continued to stay on. The car ran for a moment then shut down. The alternator failed again. I had it re-built for a second time and put it back on. Things were fine for a few hours then the dash lights came back on. Is there a deeper problem, something else killing the alternator or am I having a problem with the re-build shop? Any advice? Thanks.

all of the dash lights or just the battery light? u may have a short somewhere? did u replace the voltage regulator also? maybe a bad alternator rebuild. they normally only replace the brushes. maybe another part entirely. starters pull a big drain. did the alternator destroy your battery? that can happen with a bad alternator. it overcharges the battery.

Yes all of the lights are back on. Right now the alternator is putting out 13.5 amps and the battery ckecked out fine. It's just strange to have the same symptoms now as it did just before the alt. quit. I'm thinking if I run it much it will fail again.
