Anything larger than required to clear the brake rotors will do very little, if anything, to improve handling, and unless you spend a ton on lightweight forged wheels you will likely further decrease the handling. If you are looking for show, then get big monster wheels, but then the tiny brake rotors/drums look just plain silly so you'll have to swap them out too. Then you are left with the covered wagon look... Anything over 15" is overkill, ride quality, handling, acceleration, and braking will likely suffer. How much do those wheels weigh?

even tho i hate cheap knockoff rims, those Velox i will admit, hopefully none of my friends are reading this, i think their pretty nice. they remind me of the Volk GTN's, and btw, get 18' Gun-metal rims. 16' wheels? man, dont get aftermarket than, go get some OEM wheels, ewww, aftermarket 15 or 16' wheels, THAT MAKES no sense to me. i have high end wheels, and let me say, they dont have to be forged. i dont think mines are forged, but their 18' racing hart 3 piece wheels, and their as light as my OEM 15', sometimes i feel lighter even. i didnt pay over $2000(not including tires even) only for handling. i got bigger wheels for looks, and i kno my turning is better. and even if i couldnt afford expensive rims, i would get 18' cheap rims. he must be getting wheels cuz of looks, not many get wheels cuz of better handling suspension, even my friends with TT supras, he got wheels cuz he wanted a sick lookin car, and he has over 500 HPs dYNOED without racing fuel and whatever. and noticing how are host is indifferent and doesnt seem to kno that much about his car, i dont think he's trying to have a crazy car handling machine, just something that drives nice and looks good. cuz if i was him, i would investigate whats up with this DX V6? makes no sense to me either. if u go 15s or 16s go OEM, anything bigger get aftermarket. i say 18s. if ur lowered with little wheel gap, big wheels and a nice lip kit or even no body kit, u can still look hard. who said u need to upgrade the breaks? my friends have bigger breaks on their JDM gsr engined civics, turboed 5th generation preludes, TT supras and rx-7s, and thats the last thing i see LOL.

let me take back one point, unless u had a civic or an integra type R or something of that nature, small racey type cars and was going for the JDM look, and one was getting those spoon wheels, or Rota Slipstream "spoon" knock offs, than yea, that looks good, or anything gun-metal or flat back, than i can see why u would be getting 15s, or 16s. isnt JDM 15s? ok, i dont kno, but that would look good on that type of look, but on an accord, i dont think aftermarket 15 or 16s would look right, even nice high end quality rims, would look weird i think, beside OEM.

hmm.. i finally took a look under the hood
and i found out that yes it;s an i4
i dunno why my uncle told me it's a v6
anyway that thing about handling is making me think of just sticking with 16"s anyway i'm just doin it for looks cuz my accord isn;t racy or anything it's a 4 cylinder for cryin out loud and it's an automatic
anyway my plans for my car goes with getting a wings west body kit, those oz rims 16", a change in lights, stereo switch, and changing up the gas and break pedals. so it's just for looks really'
but the tires i kinda want grip and performance mixed with looks. So yeah...

16's are too small for the 6th gen Accords. Get 18s and up.

I think you should opt for 18's. anything less looks too small on a 6th gen accord. i have 18's and i'm looking at it some days and thinking "shoulda gone 19's...shoulda gone one size larger..."

if you want handling + performance, there was a road test done on the tire/rim sizing by r&t and it came out that 17" rims were the most optimal for all around performance. just an input
