Do you notice any black spots underneath your car? If so, you're probably leaking oil.

yeah/miles of car? condition? when did you check it? were you on a flat surface? if you check your oil immediately after turning the car off you'll get a faulty reading because the oil has to drip back down.

You could be burning oil and the converter could be stopping most of the smoke.

Maybe when the oil was changed the .5 quart that it takes to fill the oil filter wasn't accounted for. This is usually the case at most quick lube places.

why don't you just fill up the oil to the level you need and see if it changes afterwards?

If your car is VTEC, VTEC acutaion burns oil. If you find yourself in the upper RPM's a lot, you'll burn a bit of oil. I know since I got my test pipe, I blow a smidge of bule smoke at the top of gears.

That's true. Bringing it to redline every so often burns the carbon of the valvetrain.
